Strong Bond

Last weekend, we had a house full at the cottage. My daughter and her husband flew to Michigan from Phoenix for a long vacation weekend. My father in law is here visiting. My son and his wife drove up as did my daughter's godmother. She made the trip from Rochester, NY.

Do you have people in your life who you don't see much but yet, when you are together you pick up as if no time has passed? Well that is the relationship with my daughter's godmother. She and my daughter had some great one on one conversations. She and I also hung out discussing family and life. It is time I will treasure.

I wanted to scrap this photo of the two of them. We are so glad to have her in our lives!

This G45 A Ladies Diary was the perfect collection for this!

I used a stencil and texture paste for the background.

Tag - You are it

I had so much fun using handmade paper and my Lawn Fawn Dies to make these tags. What a fun way to dress up your beverages for a picnic or party!! The small size of the dies makes them perfect for these!

Thank You

I needed a thank you card so I made this. I added layers of paint and stamping. I outlined the bird and painted around him. Sorry for the poor photo. I actually sealed the envelope and had to quick pull this out to take a photo.

Stand Tall

Prepping for an Art Market Saturday with the Rogue River Artist's Association. I am putting the finishing touches on my canvases including a Varnish Spray, and wire for hanging.

I have been working on this guy for a while. Had trouble with his snout and it took a while to find a quote or positive words. I think he is now finally finished. He is a mixture of papers and paints, stamps, stencils and inks.

Thanks for stopping by! If you live near Rockford, MI come by the Art Market in the Rotary Pavilion!

USe what you have

Carolyn Dube shared a Let's Play using her gelli plate and seed pods. I know the golf course has seed pods like those, but I did not find any this week. However, I bought a fresh pineapple and thought I would try out those leaves

I thought I pressed them into the plate really hard but you can barely make out the leaves on the first pull. The second has more of a stripey effect. It was fun to try this! Thanks Carolyn!

Thank you

A thank you card using Color Silks and a Kasiercraft Stencil! I even stenciled on the envelope! Fathers are all the rage! I enjoyed playing with this one and adding different colors to it!

I am entering this in Colourarte's challenge

which is to use Sherbert colors! Apple Blossom and Plum Blossom  Color Silks made me think of grape and raspberry popsicles! I also have Beach Glass Artist Pigments. I hope you can see the sparkle  and shine!

Canvas Corp Brands Tag Swap

The Canvas Corp Brands Collective group on facebook had a tag swap. Here is the summery tag I made

The Yellow and Ivory French Linen Stripe was the perfect base for the tag and for a beautiful envelope! My sand was made by mixing texture paste with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Coffee Shop.. Canvas Fringe was used to make her sea shell bag, the bottom border and the ribbon tie on the envelope.

Adding this to Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge.

As it turns out, the person I was matched up with the swap lives 20 minutes away! We met for lunch and exchanged our cards in person. It was fun getting to know Beverly and the projects she makes!

Looking forward to the next Canvas Corp Brands Collective Swap!!

I am Back but will be Leaving:):)
