Baby watch

I am visiting my daughter who is due to have our first grandchild on Sunday. We had thought she might go early so I have been here over a week so far no baby, but the room is organized, her new little clothes are washed and the house is ready.

Life on the Inside

The Most Scrapping I have Done in a Long While

Still getting layouts done for our soon to be born granddaughter!

I was lucky enough to attend the shower Jen's friends had for her in Phoenix. We had to cancel our shower here because the doctor would not let her fly. I spent the day before helping the grils with shopping, food prep and decorating.

The day of the shower was a beautiful day and over 30 people attended. Jen was showered with blessing and gifts!

I used the new sketch over at Let'sgetsketchy - 

This was perfect for scrapping all of my great party photos!

My First Home

Finding my Niche

I saw a technique and of course, my first thought was, I CAN DO THAT! I love experimenting as I am still trying to find my niche in this art world.

So here is my new experiment -----

Not the best photo - I need to redo but you get the idea. 

This is paint pouring. It takes a lot more paint than I thought it would (16 x 20 canvas) but the effect is quite cool!

Traveling Art Journal

I am in a Design Team Group for Canvas Corp Brands which is working on an exciting project this year. We each created a traveling journal which will spend the next year making its way around the country and globe! As we receive a book, we will complete an art journal page. The next month we will receive another book. At the end of the year,  we will get our book back completely filled with artwork from my fellow collaborators.

I made my journal! This was a first for me. I cut down mixed media paper to the size and stitched it together. I made a cover from a cereal box!  I decorated the cover and completed the first two pages!

 

These feathers represent our journals taking flight and traveling around the world sharing thoughts and ideas with each other.

I used 7 Gypsies Wanderlust Papers and Tattered Angels Metallics including Coffee Shop and Tarnished Silver

I have already completed my second journal layout  which you will have to wait to see!

The Most Beautiful Girl in the World

My daughter had another ultrasound yesterday and she shared the most wonderful photos! Our little girl was smiling and pursing her lips and I guess it was just amazing to watch her. I hope to see an ultrasound when i got back in a few weeks.

I had some time this morning and got right to work!
