Thank you for Your Service

Today is my first post for Helmar Adhesives Creative Team. I am very excited to share my experiences with these wonderful products!

For my layout I used

Zapdots for adding dimension to tags.
Acid free Glue to secure old photos which were curled.
450 Quick Dry is what you need  when covering chipboard with paper.
Scrapdots allow you to build dimension with your flowers.
And the tape runner is perfect for securing layers of papers.

Here is a sneak peak of my layout

Please visit my post over at Helmar's Blog to see the entire layout!!

Normally when I go back to file my layouts in page protectors, I find items that have become unglued. That will not happen to me now that I am using Helmar!!!

Thank you for visiting! I appreciate each and every comment!

CSI

CSI (color stories inspiration)  is a fantastic site that offers wonderful challenges. Each one includes colors, evidence and testimony. It is up to you to decide how to use them. These always make me think outside of the box!

This was challenge 195

I chose to do this layout of Bandit

I am happy to say that I was chosen as a Star Witness - someone who did an exceptional job telling their story!

Thank you CSI for helping me tell my stories!! I strongly encourage you to visit them!!

Mother Daughter Time

It is time for another PCC challenge. Here is the inspiration

Papercrafting Challenge: Magazine Mondays - Week 143 Inspiration (image)

I saw the mother and daughter and knew I was going to scrap recent photos of my daughter and myself.

I was fortunate enough to spend time visiting my daughter who had to go to Chicago to attend a conference. I drove to the commuter train and made my way to the windy city. I tend to be a nervous traveler especially being by myself, but, I really wanted to see Jen. I am happy to report that I made it just fine.

When Jen had free time from the conference, we wandered the city. We made the trip to the zoo which we had never visited before, stopped by the bean and ate on the patio outside listening to a street band! She indulged my requests for selfies!! It has been a while since we had mother/daughter time and I truly enjoyed it.

(I apologize for the poor quality of the photos - my printer is acting up).

I wish each of you a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!!Thank you for stopping by!

For Mom

I decided to make my mom a canvas for Mother's Day. And, not just any canvas, but one using doilies from my Grandmother (her mom) and my grandmother's photo.

I covered the canvas with paper and layers of paints. I added stamps, stenciling texture and chipboard. I made the dress bodice from a toilet paper roll covered in book text. My mom really seemed to like it and I am sure next time I visit her this will be on display!

Adding this to Simonsaysstamp Monday Home Decor challenge.
Thank you for visiting and happy Mother's Day weekend to each and every one of you1
