PCC has their 150th Magazine Monday inspiration this week! Congrats to them! I have played along with quite a few and after seeing this week's, I knew what I wanted to try. Here is the cover:
Here is my card:
I used my watercolor pencils to draw a line then gently painted along the edge making sure to leave some white space. I got just the effect I was going for. A sticker and flower and the card is finished.
I hope you play along. Thanks PCC for another wonderful challenge.

Inspiration
PCC Magazine Monday's inspiration was this cover:
I zeroed in on the butterfly made out of strawberries. This led me to this thank you card which also had some reds, oranges and greens from the cover.
Thanks for stopping by!

Not Just on Father's Day
I am up today at the Helmar blog with a Father's Day layout!
My husband has been a wonderful dad to our children - not just on Father's Day but every day. He is there to teach them, to help them and to love them. I enjoyed digging out some old photos!
I love the fact that no matter which of Helmar's adhesives I use, when I go back to look at this layout in a month or a year, everything will still be secure!
Here is a link to many of their scrapbooking products.
This paper is from Recollections Mixed Media Collage Pad. The background was created using texture paste mixed with Glimmer Mist Coffee Shop by Tattered Angels. I also misted using a stencil.

Sand Between your Toes
It has been a busy few weeks since we got back from our family vacation to Italy! I am just now finding time to get back to my desk.
I wanted to get back to making mixed media canvases and was inspired to make one for the cottage.
I used PCCs Monday Magazine inspiration
And here is my canvas

Helmar 450 Quick Dry was the perfect adhesive for securing the ribbon quickly and easily!
These were so much fun!!

Magazine Monday
This week's PCC Magazine Monday Inspiration is perfect for this weekend!
And it tied in with a layout I was just finishing of my dad in the Navy. He died when i was 12 so I don't have many more details than he served in the Korean War. These pics are from 1945 of him with his mom and dad.
