1st Snow

While visiting us in Michigan in November, my granddaughter was able to explore her first snow. She did not care that she was so bundled up that she could barely move. She enjoyed walking in it, touching it and writing in it.

I will have a suitcase filled with layouts to take to Lauren when I go there next week!

Frosty

During over Christmas visit, we took our granddaughter to Zoo Lights at the Phoenix Zoo. My daughter knew they had photos with reindeer so we headed out to that. Luckily there was no line and they were able to visit Frosty. This photo is very dark because it was at night. I might try to get the larger one my daughter kept and swap them out.

St. Nicholas

Lauren's first visit with Santa went about as planned. She wanted nothing to do with him. Santa told her mom to just put her down and run but Jen would not do that. So family photo it is!

Black and White and Red All Over

Last year's valentine's day outfit for my granddaughter.

I added the pink stripes to the background paper.

Adding this to Simonsays Wednesday Challenge black and white and one color. I might have closer to 2 colors:)

Thank you for visiting!

St Patrick's Day

As a grandmother, I fee it is my duty to outfit my granddaughter in an outfit for every holiday! Last year for St. Patrick's Day I found this cute shirt!

I have been saving these shamrock stickers for years and finally found the perfect time to use them!

Adding this to SimonSays Work it Wednesday! The challenge is to use green and gold!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Well, almost.

I am up over at the Helmar blog today with a fun home decor project I made for my mom. She is in a nursing home and table space is at a premium. So I made something for her to hang on the wall.

So glad to be back

What a week it has been. Wednesday we woke to ice covering everything.

We hunkered down and hoped it would soon melt. Sadly Thursday was still the same.

Our son called to stay their power was out and headed to our house. Before they arrived, our power went out too. Luckily we have a fireplace in our family room but with temps in the single digits it was difficult to keep even that room warm. My son ended up getting his power back so they headed home. We stayed at our house and by morning temps in the house were in the low 50s.

We gave up and went to his house, where we have been until late last night when our power came back on. Temps in the house were low 40s inside  but we were happy to get back home.

I had been reworking that watercolor board I had started. Here is the progress.

It is coming along.

Better late than never, I am adding this to PaintPartyFriday.

Be sure to stop over there for wonderful inspiration!
