Stand Tall

Decided to work on canvases for the upcoming sale.

I had done something similar to this before and sold it, so made  another. I painted a background which I stamped with leaves. Added a book paper giraffe which I painted with watercolors. Finished with my quote.

Adding this to PaintPArtyFriday . Thanks for visiting me today!

Hello

So yesterday I played with paint bubbles. After mixing paint, water and dish soap, I blew bubbles in a cup and dragged paper and canvases over the bubbles. I used one of the pieces of paper to make a card. I added flowers which I first created using a stencil and medium. I filled them in with water colors. I was pretty pleased with this.

Paint and bubbles

I saw something today and decided to try it! Paint and bubbles! My first batch was too watery so I tried again. This is such fun and would be great for kids!! This canvas is not even dry but I was excited to share.

I am a little late but am adding this to PaintPartyFriday!

Thanks for visiting!

Catching up

I was gone for a little over 3 weeks and I could not believe how much catching up I had to do! I am still working my way through my list but i did spend time yesterday making thank you cards for happy mail I received.

I struggle with card ideas so love sketches like this one from Stickitdown

Here is my card

I created a messy background with new Distress Oxides. The flower is painted tissue paper.

Thank you for visiting and for your kind words!

My new title - Grandmother

Sorry to have been absent for a bit.

I was at my daughter's for a few weeks - waiting for our granddaughter to arrive. She came one day before her due date and is an April Fool's baby. The 16 hours of labor followed by a C section was no joke. But happily Lauren Joelle made her way into the world at 7:51 pm weighing 8 pounds 9 ounces and is 21 inches long.

Mother and daughter are doing very well. The baby is a good eater and is quite strong! I love the faces and sounds she makes. She gets the hiccups a lot which, of course, I recorded. I was sad to leave her but also happy to get home and get some projects going.

My daughter has issued a social media ban but I can post these photos which she shared on facebook.

Luckily I get to go back and see her in two weeks. Thank goodness for facetime!!
