Father's Day

You know your kid is growing up when they actually purchase cards for Father's and Mother's Day! Rob bought a very nice card for his day but what made it more special was the paragraph he added. It brought his dad to tears.

Another Toot!!!

So Michigan Scrapbooker Magazine had a call for wedding layouts. Ironically, I submitted this layout on June 14th which was my 38th wedding anniversary!

It has our actual wedding invitation and the flowers are made from the bridesmaids dress fabric. For some reason I have yards of it.

And  I Won!!!!!

Here is Jean Marmo's winning wedding layout. She submitted her layout on June 14th and this is what she said: "Attached please find a layout using my wedding photo and invitation. I immediately thought of my scrap basket. I was pretty sure I could make a sun from scraps. First, I played with my new Gelli plate to make a background paper. i also used an image from an old book page.

Chicago

Got to go to Chicago while DH was at the National Assoc. of Chemical Dist. conference. I attended many of the presenters so did not have a lot of time to wander. I did visit the lake  and  Millenium  park and on Friday before we headed home, stopped at Blicks!!
