Last week my daughter successfully defended her Dissertation for her PhD. Of course, I had to scrap that moment. I surprised her by having a friend buy a bottle of champagne to have once she returned to her apartment.
I used my favorite Notebook border punch as well as the Peacock Corner Punch.
Did you know that the Fiskars SureCut Scrapbooking Paper Trimmer has a lifetime warranty? I did not know that until I sent them a question about my guide wire fraying. In less than a week I had a new replacement part which was easy to install!
Now that is great service!!
I want to thank you for stopping by! I'd love to have you sign up as follower. I will be sending a small RAK to a person chosen from those who comment AND are followers. I will choose that name first thing Monday morning. Just answer this question ..............
I have a pair of pinking scissors that are probably 25 years old! Have no idea where I got them but they are still in my desk.
The next stop on the Hop is Debby #2852.
Thank you for stopping!!

ReplyDeleteI love your layout and the border punches are subtle and add so much! Congratulations to your daughter too! I cannot pick a favorite Fiskars tool because I love them all. Right now I am falling in love with the convenience of the new stacking, inter-changable border punches. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your daughter!I'm sure you are both very proud. Lovely layout. My first fiska tool would be my small Fiskars scissors. The micro tips I used for my cross stitch projects. Now I'm doing mostly paper crafts so I have so many more tools. But always want more. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteHugs, Jessica (I'm now a follower)
Congrats to your daughter! That is huge! I love what you made.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Fiskars tool is my microtip scissors. I use them for everything! They are especially awesome for a lefty like me, since they don't have directionality.
The notebook punch is one of my favorites too!
ReplyDeletelove this!!
ReplyDeletehi there! great layout! :)
ReplyDeletemy first fiskar tool (unknown to me at the time) was a fiskars ruler. it's STILL one of my most used fiskar products :)
My paper trimmer was the first Fiskars tool that I bought!! I still LOVE it.

ReplyDeleteGreat layout Jean and big Congrats to your daughter. My first Fiskars tool was my paper timmer. It's small which I like because I can just put it in my bag and go. I've had it for about 13 yrs or so.
ReplyDeleteMy first tool was a trimmer unfortunately my cousin sold it along with a slew of other product I had. What great service from Fiskars!
ReplyDeleteLove your layout & congrats to your daughter.
ReplyDeleteMy 1st fiskars tool was a pair of scissors, then i graduated to decorative edge scissors.
I became a follower :)
Congrats to your daughter!!!! I love the page. I am a follower and my first Fiskars tool was the paper trimmer which I still use. It is the gray one. (My second was the scissors that they sent with my number on them and my collection grew from there.)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! You must be so proud of your daughter! I signed up to follow you! My first Fiskars tool was the paper trimmer with the little orange sliding blade. I still keep spare blades and prefer it for some projects when I want an accurate cut inside a project, rather than slicing through.
ReplyDeleteSuch a huge accomplishment for her and the family as well. You did good :) Now on to your lo...love the use of the Notebook punch and Peacock too! Another fab lo by you Jean :)
ReplyDeleteMy first Fiskars had to be the Seagull Edgers :)
Deb♥
what a fun lo! awesome job!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right. Fiskars does have the best customer service. I have that same paper trimmer( Which I love) and the guide wire broke. In no time I had the replacement.

ReplyDeleteRight now my fav fiskatool is my microtip scissors. But it changes often lol.
ReplyDeleteWhat a memory of which you will always be proud! I really like your LO and how you used just small piece of paper with the notebook border punch - that really caught my eye for some reason.
ReplyDeleteI am already a follower, by the way.

Cute page and congrats to your DD.
ReplyDeleteI also love your lemon background on your blog !
My first tool was either scissors or garden pruners!
No need to enter me -- I have been unfollowing and unsubscribing to most blogs lately - just not enough time and too much email congestion-
I think my first tool was either the purple trimmer or a cutting mat that I used for sewing.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day! Elaine #7777
CONGRATULATIONS!! To you and your daughter. You both must be very proud. Great LO and use of punches. One of the things I LOVE about Fiskars is how they back their products. I have no idea what my first Fiskars tool was, probably some shaping scissors. I had those before I even owned a trimmer. Donna #6036
ReplyDeleteCongrats... I'm sure you are so proud of your daughter.
