Good Morning!

 Happy Saturday!

This week flew by quickly! Lots of work at school and projects to do at home. Michigan has moved into hot muggy summer weather.

My daughter and her family live in Phoenix where a pool is a necessity. She started them very young in swimming lessons and is very vigilant when they are in or near the pool. Sadly, in the past year, Phoenix has seen a record number of drownings in both adults and children. My daughter and the kids were featured in a segment on the news about pool safety.

Here is link to the video

Here are some stills from it.

My 4 year old granddaughter is in the process of mastering the breast stroke and butterfly stroke! We are so proud of what she is doing at her age. Reilly is working on survival skills such as floating in airplane.

I have not had as much time to paint as I should have. These are both from video tutorials.

For this I used a straw. It might need more added to it.

                                                                This one used salt.

This one has doodling.

Well, I started this post on Friday. It is now Sunday! Adding it to PaintpartyFriday! just a few days late!

I hope you are enjoying aa wonderful weekend and are ready for a new week!

Thank you for visiting with me!

  1. Yes, living in the Phoenix basin one needs a pool. That is awesome she has taught the grand kids swimming. Straw, salt and doodling art how can one go wrong with that. All beautiful. Have a nice Sunday.

  2. so happy to hear your grandkids are teached about water safety. It is sooo important. In Sweden we have classes in Babyswim for parents and babies, but due to Corona the pools are closed. That´s not good for the future.

Love your watercolors. Maybe I should try that too, it looks gorgeous.

  3. All my grandchildren are good swimmers which is brilliant as I am a non swimmer having been brought up where there wasn’t a pool.
Love your art especially the straw brown one.

  4. I like watercolors, the images are light, a bit out of reality and beautiful
