Birthday Dinner

It is such fun hanging out with our adult children. This was the case last night when my son and his wife took us out to dinner for my birthday. We enjoyed trying foods at a new restaurant and just hanging out.

Here is the card I am going to send them,

I used my new ColourArte Primary Elements. which I am still learning how to use.

Adding this to Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Fantastic Florals!

Thank you for visiting me today!

Busy Catching up!

I was in Phoenix last weekend to attend my daughter's baby shower. Such a fun time with her amazing friends.

Now that I am back, I am catching up on thank you cards!

I broke open a new Tim Holtz stencil and my black gesso for a different look.

Adding this to Simons Says Monday Challenge - Favorite tool. I LOVE combining stencils and modeling paste or gesso. I never get tired of using these.

Thank you for stopping by! I appreciate your kind words!

Paint Party Friday

We were at the cottage this weekend. My husband and brother in law participate in a cross country ski race. I had a few minutes and completed this. The lake did not look like this now but hopefully, in a few more months it will!

Still honing my water color painting skills!

Adding this to PaintpartyFriday.

Thank you for visiting me. I appreciate your kind words!

Welcome Little One

Working on layouts for the baby's album. She is due to arrive April 2nd but we think she might come sooner! When I was at my daughter's a few weeks ago, we got the room ready. She will have this adorable safari theme.

I used Canvas Corp Mix and Match Sugar and Spice pad!

This is such a fun collection!

And, I used this sketch from SketchNScrap

Here is my layout

I just love being able to grab this pad and use the coordinating papers THe only extras I added were flowers and a resin faerie!

Thank you for visiting! I appreciate your kind words!

Believe

Sometimes I have trouble knowing how to start an art journal page. I get wrapped up in what colors, how to apply it, etc. Every Monday Tracy Weinzapfel does a live Ustream. I decided to stop reinventing the wheel, and basically follow her lead. Tracy had a background of several blues and purple and then drew heart like flowers.

So here is my interpretation

I am entering this for the MixedMediaMC Challenge Sweet Inspirations

Thank you for visiting! I appreciate your stopping by!
