Happy Friday!

How can it be Friday already? How can it be the end of May already!

My goodness! Wish we could slow things down.

We have been back from out west for two weeks now. It took me a week to cleanout and organize my supplies. I brought back quite a bit and had to get everything put away. How could i possibly bring back more than i took? I don't know but I think I did:):)

The desk is quite clean now so gave me a chance to play.

I had a couple of new fluid acrylics that I wanted to experiment with. While out west, I also watched an artists use a credit card to paint with. This card is me trying painting with fluid acrylics using a credit card. I kind of like it.

Last year I completed a set of alphabet cards for my granddaughter. I painted the letter and an animal on postcards and mailed them to her. We decided I should make a set of numbers so I finished those and am mailing them to my one year old grandson.

A quick thank you card

I used  sketch #170 from SketchNScrap

Love this collection from Photoplay Paper.

Have a great rest of the weekend!

But first, coffee!!

I had finished drinking my coffee but there was a little left which was perfect for painting this coffee themed card. Adding it to Coffeelovingcardmakers spring hop.

Love this coffee bean stamp from Anthony's Paper Craft.

Welcome to Friday

Please tell me I am not the only one who doesn't know what day of the week it is?!? I have to look at my phone every day for confirmation:)

Well, it is Friday and I am back with another check in for PaintPartyFriday.

We are home from being out west and once I finished getting my art/scrap/creative room put back together, I able to sit down and paint. I needed a couple of thank you notes so I got out the watercolors. I have seen an example of a card where they cut the painting into strips so tried that with the blue flwoers.

And, this cactus was painted just using lines.

I had fun with both of them.

This week I also was able to complete a scrapbook layout of our Covid 19 porch photo. A photographer was offering free photos of families on their porch so we asked him to take one of us.

I used older papers that I had and added extra paint splatters and more. This was a fun one to create.

I hope everyone enjoys a safe and healthy Memorial Day weekend. This year is just flying by!

Be sure to stop over at PaintPartyFriday for amazing inspiration!

Thank you for visiting!

Thank you

I recently won a box of Sizzix Sculpting Foam and today broke it out to play with it. Oh my goodness - what fun! It is a very light foam that can be cut with die cuts. Add heat and shape and bend the flowers to make wonderful blooms! I did find that my heat gun blows the pieces around and I have to learn how to control the heat. But, I still had fun and made this card.

I used this sketch from Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch  #170

I hope you give this Sculpting Foam a try!

One Year Already

Hard to believe but Reilly is going to be ONE tomorrow. What a difference a year makes. He had stomach issues for the first couple of months and was a miserable little guy. Now he wants to eat everything in site and is almost walking. His 3 year old sister adores him and he loves following her around.

Had a photo shoot and here is the one pic I can share:)

He wasn't cooperative:):)

Thank you Tara at BNLove Studio! You rock!
