Let's Scrap

 I have thousands of photos from our time with the grandkids. So ----- let's get busy scrapping!

I added this to a challenge at ColorStoriesInspiration

and for the sketch challenge at SketchNScrap

My granddaughter's dance studio had a tutu photo contest on Feb. 2nd to win a new tutu. We entered this photo of Lauren and won. She got a new sparkly tutu.

This girl loves her rainboots! Being in Phoenix, they don't get much rain or chance to play in puddles. But, when they get a storm, she is ready to hop into the puddle that quickly forms at the corner of the patio. This was also for a challenge at ColorStoriesInspiration! 

Just a heads up, I am no longer going to have the ability to send out blog posts updates via Feedburner.  I am researching other options and will keep you updated.

And We are Back

 Last Wednesday we started the 3 day drive back across the country and arrived home on Friday. The Michigan weather welcomed us with nice warm temps but by Monday it was in the 40s and has stayed there all week. Nothing like a shock to the system:) It wanted to remind us that we were no longer in Phoenix. 

Have caught up on cleaning and shopping and seeing our son. 

I spent one day reorganizing/purging in my art/craft room so am now ready to get to work. I need more watercolor cards and paintings for up coming sales with the art group. And, I have thousands of photos to scrap:):)

A facebook group I am in explored the theme of loose landscape this week. Here are a couple i tired. 

Watercolor is all about practice, practice, practice and letting it dry between layers:):)

Counting Down

 In 5 days we will be heading back to Michigan. Where has the past four months gone?!?

Yesterday our oldest granddaughter turned 4. We had a joint party for her and her brother last Sunday. His birthday is in 5 weeks and he will be 2. Such fun ages! 

In  honor of the warmer weather - going to 98 here on Sunday - here are some flowers. I hope to see some blooming when we get back to Michigan.

End of March!

 How did it become the end of March? Just another 10 days or so before we head back to Michigan. Our snowbird time with the grandkids is up. 

We have moved in with the kids for the last two weeks. Being here with a 4 year old and 2 year old leaves me with little time to be creative. I will have plenty of time once I get home to catch up on painting and scrapbooking. 

There is still time for hand and footprint art:) They have gotten more complex from when we started:) 

Since Easter is coming up - here are a couple of bunnies I have done in the past.

 Welcome again to another Friday! 

Last week we both got our second shots of the vaccine and with minimal reaction. So we are now looking forward to what comes next. 

Our snowbird time is also quickly coming to an end. We will be staying for our granddaughter's 4th birthday and Easter then making the tip back across the country. Will be sad to leave the two little ones. However we do already have flights back just three weeks later for the other one's second birthday:):)

  

I have still not had much time for painting.   The pears were for a negative painting challenge.

Today......

 So today I headed out for my second covid vaccination. So grateful to all of those who have made these shots possible! Not much of a reaction to the first so hoping for that when i get this one. 

Still not much time to be creative. Last couple of weeks with the grandkids so my efforts are focused there:) 

There was a hand and feet challenge over on facebook. These are my granddaughter's feet in her ballet shoes. 

And a hand holding flowers.

This will be made into a thank you card.

Where does the time go!

 Time is flying by all too quickly! We only have a bout 4 more weeks left of our snowbird visit to the grandkids. It will be very bittersweet. Not seeing those faces every day breaks my heart. But, it will be good to be back home in our house. 

During my few spare moments I managed to paint a couple of quick pieces for a "make me laugh" challenge. 

I hope we are not the only ones who have started having happy hour every day during covid:)
