Happy April Fool's Day!
I am taking part in a Boo Boo Blog Hop! Ever make something and then have a big boo boo that you either had to over up or start over? Well, that is what we are celebrating in this hop!
This is the brain child of the talented Darnell over at DJKardKreations.
Here is my lovely boo boo. See it? The finger tip mark just above the green background paper. I sent the card and ignored it:)
Ahh the old fingerprint on the coloured card trick. I have to admit to many of those moments. Grime, oil, ink etc are often attracted to my fingertips then the cards I am making. I know your pain but I reckon no one notices as much as we do. Beautiful card, bet it was greatly appreciated.
ReplyDeleteLove your attitude girl! "I ignored it and just sent it" . . . why not indeed, if anybody wants 'perfect' there's always Hallmark! Thanks for making me laugh! Have a lovely evening! Hazel xx

I always say it's supposed to be there or that's what embellishments are for

I sometimes add more of the same marks and send it off anyway. I think that way they think it was an intentional part of the design. LOL Thanks for sharing your boo boo with me. I think it is still a beautiful card design.
ReplyDeleteAWK!! I can't tell you how many times I've finished a card and then ended up smudging it with an inky finger or hand!! I usually end up slapping my forehead with my hand and then dismantling the whole card and re-doing it...but love that you just left it as-is and sent it! As Darnell says, life is too short!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you ignored the booboo and sent it, because it just flows with the polka dot theme of your background and it's barely noticeable! Gorgeous bird!!
ReplyDeleteTFS. Glad you sent your card. This is one most of us can relate to :)
ReplyDeleteGood for you...you don't want to let all that hard work go to waste for sure!!!
ReplyDeleteJean, I think your boo boo is called poetic license for an artist! :o)
ReplyDeleteGood on you Jean... I remember being very finicky about straight lines and smudges - not any more. Great card too...cheers Robyn
ReplyDeleteI would have added a couple more to make it look deliberate! I have a stamp that says something like "This is a work of art and all smudges are intentional'. Fab card, though!
ReplyDeleteOh, Jean, that card is too beautiful and took way too much work to dismantle! Each one of us who sees it can feel how you felt when you saw the smudge and your shoulders slumped, dejected! It's a good lesson for us that you chose to move on, ignore it, and send it anyway! I mean, after all, maybe it happened when it was in the post office, haha!! Thank you so much for playing in my first BFCBB Hop!! Enjoy the weekend! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDelete*Ignored it and sent it*...fabulous attitude and given how amazing your card is, I'd do the same! Let's just call it an extra special personal touch! Your oopsie makes me smile!

Fingerprints haunt us all, don't they! Great that you overlooked it and sent it on that way.
ReplyDeleteGood for you sending it, I for one couldn't see it and have had so many finger print moments usually on the cards I spend the most time on. Thanks so much for sharing

super cute boo boo and great bird card..BL
ReplyDeleteYep, the recipient totally put a fingerprint on that card when they were taking it out of the envelope right? It's such a fab card, it needed to be sent fingerprint or no fingerprint. Cara x
ReplyDeleteYup, totally can relate, been there, done that!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card!
Ignored it in the hope that the recipient would think THEY had done it? Yep, I'd do that too!
ReplyDeleteJane
